Hi, I'm Ron Mitchell and I've been using photography and video production and post-production in my work as an e-learning professional for many many years and you can see examples of some of that e-learning work via mitchellmedia.co.uk and xerteacademy.com. However this site is not about that.
This site is simply to share some of my landscape and nature photography in a single place and in a way that I can easily keep it up to date. I do share images occasionally via my photography twitter account @ronm123photo and more recently Bluesky and I follow a number of photographers via those accounts. I also have very old Instagram and Flickr accounts but I don't really use those for this purpose, especially as I'm not really into the whole likes and dislikes scenario that typically happens on those sites. So as I use the Adobe photography suite I'm trying out the portfolio option that is part of that subscription and makes it very easy to synchronise selected categories and images direct from Adobe Lightroom, including re-synchronising new or revised edits etc.
What you will find here is obviously just a few selected images in each of the categories I've included. Some of these are included because they are different from other images in the same category and may not always represent the best technical quality e.g. some were taken with a much older DSLR, or compact camera, or in some cases a smartphone. Likewise, although I've taken a lot of photographs of family, friends and colleagues over the years, including work and social events, that's not included here either. I have added a separate Gear & Behind the Scenes page to summarise some of the gear I use but again the purpose of this site is to share a few examples of my landscape and nature photography and not to talk about gear.
